こどもは突然熱を出す。しかもなぜか金曜日の夕方に出す。
アメリカに住んでいて本当に恐ろしいのは、ＥＲに行ったときの請求額。しかも保険適応されるとはいえ、金額と処置内容にありえないほどの差が！ちょっとドクターよ！問診してちょい触っただけやんか！何時間も待たされた挙げ句にちょろっと触って終了。
「市販薬で様子を見ましょう！」
ええーー！！
せっかくＥＲ来たのに市販薬なの！？！？
そうなんです。アメリカの市販薬を侮ってはいけません。日本で医者から処方される薬より強いものが買えます。なので医者にかかるまえに、予め家に常備しておきましょう！

乳児の場合は数ヶ月ごとに乳児検診や予防接種が必ずあるので、その際に「もし風邪引いたらタイレノール飲ませていい？」と担当のドクターに聞いてみるといいかもしれません！あなたのお子さんの成長具合と健康度を１番よく分かっているのは、ドクターと親のあなた。健康に育っていれば「OK！」と言ってくれると思います。
実際私の娘が初めて風邪をひいた時。生後５ヶ月を過ぎたころだったと思うのですが、その前の検診でしっかり確認していたのでこちらを服用させました！

学校で擦りむいてきてなど怪我の痛みも、痛み止めとして飲ませることもありますよ！

これは息子の感想なので真偽は不明ですが「めちゃくちゃ美味しいから毎日飲みたい。」らしい。笑

我が家の使っているのがこれです！脇の下に挟んで数十秒待たなくても。耳の穴にギューンと入れなくても。いいんです！これさえあれば！！時代は変わりましたね。。。
私が小さい頃なんて水銀の体温計を使っていたのに。。。

少し前までは大人用を半分にハサミで切ってましたが（セコい）、大人の私がそんなに風邪引かないので子供用をこの前新調しました！！これで熱が取れるのかは定かではありませんが、じんわりと冷たいのが落ち着く様子。
あと、鏡で見た時に『風邪をひいて弱っている俺』を演出できる。←
まだ６歳の息子には弱った俺を抱きしめる優しい母が必要な様子。ｗ
